Conductor and composer Warren Puffer Jones is the Music Director of Tactus.
He is also the Director of the Kemp Concert Series and the Music Director at the First Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City, where he leads the Kemp Concert Choir in performances of major works from the choral-orchestral repertoire, including Handel’s Messiah, Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem, Mozart Requiem, and the Beethoven Mass in C. He served for ten years as Music Director of Arbor Opera Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and for seven years as Music Director of the Ann Arbor Cantata Singers.
A native of Oklahoma City, he studied music composition at Yale University, choral conducting at Indiana University, instrumental conducting at Bard College, and received the doctoral degree in orchestral conducting from the University of Michigan. He and his wife, soprano Kelly Holst, and their children, Isaac and Olivia, live in Oklahoma City.
